A trip to South Africa stays with you forever. From the infectious beat of the street music in Cape Town’s iconic V&A Waterfront harbour to the abundance of epic wildlife encounters on safari and picturesque rolling vineyards, there is so much to experience in this richly diverse country. Yet perhaps the most rewarding experiences happen on our bespoke trips to volunteer or simply just visit for a day/half day at Cape Town’s community projects.
From teaching cooking skills to Tsonga dancing with local children, each initiative provides a highly interactive experience full of enriching moments. We will discuss your interests and create a highly bespoke itinerary that will provide a broad spectrum of what life in Cape Town looks like.

"You will leave the country with a far deeper appreciation and understanding of this magnificent nation and its people."
Start your adventure at a chic Cape Town boutique hotel set on the lower slopes of Table Mountain. Explore the city’s natural beauty, from Cape Point to the white sandy beaches of Clifton, the Winelands, and the iconic Table Mountain which sits proudly behind this divine hotel.
Spend time exploring Cape Town and volunteer with an incredible charity initiative such as Uthando. This vehicle for change works with a fantastic collection of independent, well-managed, innovative and inspiring community development projects, charitable organisations and social entrepreneurs across a broad spectrum of sectors.

Take part in a project of your choice; examples include Farmers of the Home which teaches disadvantaged communities to grow and maintain organic vegetable gardens, and the Institute for Music & Indigenous Art Development (IMAD) which makes music education accessible to young people. If you’d like to contribute to other fantastic projects then we have plenty of suggestions, such as arranging a day out or a special event for one of Uthando’s senior citizens centres. Spend time with these friendly locals and hear incredible stories from their past.
With so many memorable highlights to discover when visiting South Africa’s uniquely beautiful Cape Town and the enriching experiences made whilst volunteering, you will leave the country with a far deeper appreciation and understanding of this magnificent nation and its people.
