Highlights of a luxury vacation in Madagascar
"With our extensive knowledge of the island, we can ensure that your itinerary will combine experiences and luxurious accommodation dedicated to your personal preferences."
The most well-known beaches are those found on the island of Nosy Be to the northwest of Madagascar, an idyllic island sprinkled with hotels ranging from small chic hideaways to a few larger resort-style hotels. Located nearby are the islands of Fanikely, Tanikely and volcanic Nosy Komba which are ideal for snorkelling. The Nosy Mitsio Archipelago is also renowned for diving and water sports and offers a superb backdrop for a sailing experience. Surrounding these islands are diverse marine environments filled with neon fish and between dives, you may even glimpse humpback whales as they breach – an awe-inspiring sight.
On the eastern side of Madagascar, you can discover even more diving opportunities. The island of Sainte-Marie (Nosy Boraha) entices divers with haunting shipwrecks strewn across the seabed, and the paradisiacal Ile Aux Nattes is a must-visit with its scenic beaches and vibrant corals. Another secluded location where you can dive, fish, learn about conservation and relax on the powdery white beaches is the private island of Tsarabanjina. Other notable sites include Point Alebrand, La Cocteraie and Paroi des Merous for their magnificent array of sea life from barracuda to pufferfish, sharks and humphead parrotfish amongst the colourful tropical fish.
If you’d like to combine a trip to find endemic wildlife including the red ruffed lemur and enjoy tropical beaches, then visit Masoala National Park and the protected island reserve of Nosy Mangabe – one of the most biodiverse areas of Madagascar. You may glimpse some of the island’s amphibian, lemur and reptile species that can only be found here amongst the unique flora and fauna of Masoala.

With our extensive knowledge of the island, we can ensure that your itinerary will combine experiences and luxurious accommodation dedicated to your personal preferences. The north of the country offers endless secluded beaches with spacious lodges and hotels, think Robinson Crusoe chic to Relais et Chateaux. Alternatively we recommend hiring a private catamaran complete with your own staff, cook and expert guide which means more time to relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings with family and friends.
Whilst you can visit Madagascar throughout the year, we recommend travelling between October and December for diving, when the water is crystal clear and temperatures are between 25- 28 degrees. If you’re keen to see migrating humpback whales, then take a trip between June and September when breeding takes place in Madagascar’s warmer waters.
